Masala Chana Salan


Masala chana saalan is one of the favorite and most desirable dish in breakfast on weekends especially. So why to go for the unhealthy version when we can create our own healthy one at home and enjoy it with its best combination. Ingredients

  • • Mota Chana 1⁄2 kg
  • • Onion 1 (sliced)
  • • Ginger (half)
  • • Garlic (5 to 6 cloves)
  • • Garam Masala (sabut)
  • • coriander Powder 2Tbs
  • • Turmeric powder 1Tbs
  • Red chilli powder 2tbs
  • • Salt (as per taste)

Preparation

STEP #01 The ingredients that u need to cook masala chana salan are chana, garam masala, ginger, garlic, onion, green chili, and all the spices.


STEP #02 STEP #02 Boil the chana for 1 hour on low flame until its completely soft. Drain it and set aside to cool at room temperature. Make its fine paste. Grind all the ginger garlic onion green chili and make its paste.


STEP #03 STEP #03 Add 2Tbs of oil in a pan and add onion paste cook it well and then add all the spices and chana paste together, cover it for 5 minutes.

STEP #04 STEP #04 Now add sabut chana in the cooked puree and cover again for 5 minutes or until an appropriate amount of water dries.



Step 1

1.Boil chana in 100C boiling water until it softens completely. Drain it and set aside at room temperature. 2.Put the half bowl of chana into a grinder and make a fine puree. 3.Put sliced onions into the grinder and grind it well.

4.Now finally grind all the 3G’s together (ginger, garlic, green chili). 5.Add 2Tbs of oil in a pan and saute all the sabut garam masala. 6.Add onion paste and cook for 5 minutes. 7.Put red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, and turmeric powder in onion paste. .



Step 3

8.Cook on medium flame and cover for 5 minutes. 9.Add chana paste into the cooked masala. .


Step 4

10.Now add the remaining boiled chana(sabut) with a glass of water and cover it again for 5 minutes. 11.Mix well and serve hot.
